Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 June 2026
This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to the files you process with easyPDF, what limited data we collect, and the choices you have. We have designed the service to handle as little of your information as possible.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Magnetic (magnetic.computer), which operates the easyPDF service available on this website. For any request regarding your data you can write to [email protected].
2. The files you upload
When you use a tool, the document you provide is sent to our server only to perform the action you requested — for example to compress, merge, convert or protect it. We do not open, read, index, profile, sell or share the contents of your documents, and we do not use them to train any system.
Automatic deletion. Your uploaded file and the result we generate are temporary. They are deleted automatically from our servers as soon as the operation finishes, within minutes and in any case within a few hours at most. We keep no permanent copy of your documents.
3. Technical and usage data
- Operational logs. For statistics and security we record anonymous events such as the tool used, the size and format of the file, the outcome and duration of the operation, and the date and time. We do not record the name or the contents of your files.
- IP address. Where an IP address is processed for security or abuse-prevention, it is stored only in pseudonymised (hashed) form and cannot be traced back to your identity.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your file on the basis of performing the service you request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Limited technical logging relies on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and reliable (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Advertising and analytics cookies are used only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can give or refuse and change at any time.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. We group them as follows:
- Essential. Needed for the site to function and to remember your privacy choices and language. These do not require consent.
- Analytics. Help us understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it. Used only with your consent.
- Advertising. Set by our advertising partner to show ads and, where you allow it, to personalise them. Used only with your consent.
When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies. You can change your decision at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
6. Advertising and Google AdSense
This site is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdSense. Google is an independent third party that may, subject to your consent, set and read cookies to serve and measure ads. Under Google Consent Mode v2, advertising and analytics storage are set to denied by default until you grant consent through our certified consent message. If you refuse, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised — based on general context rather than your interests.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (Digital Advertising Alliance) or optout.networkadvertising.org (Network Advertising Initiative).
You can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.
7. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage in aggregate. It runs under Consent Mode: before you consent it sends only cookieless, aggregated signals; after you consent it may use analytics cookies. We do not link analytics data to your documents.
8. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal data. Files are processed on our own infrastructure. The third parties involved in running the site act as processors or independent controllers for their part: our hosting and content-delivery provider, and Google for advertising and analytics as described above.
9. International transfers
Where a provider such as Google processes data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer is governed by appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any right, contact [email protected]. Because uploaded files are deleted automatically within minutes, there is normally nothing about a specific document left for us to retrieve or erase.
11. Children
The service is intended for general use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service or the law. The current version, with its date, is always available on this page.
13. Contact
For any question about this policy or your data, write to [email protected].
